Wednesday 25th October ***** – Two rivers, Deben to the Orwell with a
picnic at the Ferry – Cloudy start then sunny periods.
Again the day started gloomy but the light rain son moved away, nice
morning at home and then I packed a picnic and we headed out on our bikes,
with the breeze from the north we had more clothes on but with the sun now
making an appearance it was ot cold:) We had to drop something at our sons
in Walton just outside Felixstowe then we headed for Gulpher Road coming
out by the golf course leading to Felixstowe Ferry, I got a nice pick of
Mag riding through a big puddle which made onto BBC,s weater for the week
forecast, I have had my best month of the year for weather pics, this being
my 12th, been very lucky:) I had a quick ride around the boatyard before
continuing along the River Deben to our picnic spot. We enjoyed a peaceful
lunch in perfect peace and quiet with stunning views across the Bawdsey
with lovely clouds with good spells of sunshine. A huge green container
ship, the Ever Apex was on the horizon slowly making its way to Felixstowe.
Well rested we carried on along the prom to The Dip and around to The
Fludgers with the son glistening on the flat sea:) Mag turns up Bent hill
for home while I continued onto to Landguard to see the Apex entering the
River Orwell. I made it just in time and stoped on the small pier with
several other people taking pics of the container ship and two tugs. Then
back along the roads via Langer Park and home for a welcome cuppa, top
day:)
